Top Wedding Food Trends of 2019-2010
from our Wedding & Events Coordinator
As we create a brand-new wedding catering menu, food trends have been at the forefront of our minds
here at Ard’s. From our own experience catering and talking to couples about their wedding vision, as
well as from researching industry leaders, here are our top wedding food trends.
1. Grazing tables: Gone are the days of primly dressed cocktail waiters passing hors d’oeuvres.
Today’s couples want to see their guests interacting with each other around an impressively
abundant grazing table, piled high with an assortment of charcuterie, cheeses, and other finger
foods.
2. Late Night Snacks: Offering guests some sustenance as they dance the night away is becoming
more and more popular every year. It’s a smart choice too, especially if guests are driving home!
Some couples choose to supply late night snacks in the form of edible favors, or a separate
buffet of pretzel nuggets, slider sandwiches, or even a popcorn bar.
3. Specialty Drink Stations: Whether alcoholic or not, giving guests an experience of creating their
own beverage is a great way to make the big day even more memorable. One of our favorite
items on our menu is a hot apple cider bar, complete with cinnamon sticks, apples, oranges,
caramel, flavor syrups, and a fun sugared rim for guests to enjoy.
4. Personalization: 2019 and 2020 couples are putting more and more focus on making every
aspect of their wedding personalized, from the ceremony to the décor and now to the food.

your menu!
